You may recognize Maxwell from his Irish Accent. He is originally from Roscommon, Ireland and moved to the United States nearly 2 decades ago.

He has been a photojournalist for 17 years and has worked in several regions around the country.

Maxwell has interviewed President George W. Bush. One of his fondest memories, is the day he spent time covering a fire from a helicopter half a mile above ground and then spent the rest of the day covering a mine closing half a mile below ground.

With such a large military community in San Diego, Maxwell enjoys covering the military beat.

He has spent time with officers and enlisted marines and military families sharing their stories with San Diego.
