SAN DIEGO -- Sheriff's deputies are looking for a man who allegedly used his fists and a machete to injure a neighbor in San Marcos.
Deputies were sent about 5:15 p.m. Saturday to an apartment complex at 225 Similar Road in response to a 911 call, said San Diego County sheriff's Lt. Doug Clements.
Witnesses said that the man was attacked after he answered his door and was confronted by a neighbor in the complex, Clements said.
The suspect reportedly stepped into the man's living room, punched him, and hit him over the head with a machete in front of numerous friends and relatives, Clements said.
The injured man was taken to Palomar Medical Center, where he was treated and released, Clements said.
The machete was not located, Clements said.
