SAN DIEGO -- Several hundred guests at a Mission Valley hotel were forced to find other accommodations Sunday night after an electrical fire knocked out power to their rooms.
The fire at the Regency Plaza Hotel was reported about 10:45 p.m. Sunday, 10News reported.The blaze started in a basement electrical room.According to 10News, it took firefighters about 20 minutes to knock down the blaze, which cut off power to the rooms of about 300 hotel guests.Those displaced by the blaze were transferred to other hotels in the Mission Valley area.One person suffered a minor injury during the evacuation but did not require hospital treatment.
