SAN DIEGO -- A woman shot to death in her San Diego home was an aspiring actress who appeared as an extra on "The Young and the Restless" soap opera, 10News reported.
Adriana Pinon, 19, was found dead in the living room of her family's home. Investigators had no suspects and did not know the
motive for the shooting, which occurred Thursday afternoon east of downtown San Diego in the city's Skyline neighborhood.
Pinon appeared as an extra 19 times on the soap opera over the last 18 months. She was taped Monday for an episode scheduled to
air March 1, show spokesman Charles Sherman said.
Her parts were nonspeaking roles and she was often grouped with other teenagers.
"The show is very saddened and shocked by this," Sherman said.
"She was very well-liked by everyone she worked with ... They were going to call again to use her again," he added.
Neighbors told homicide detectives they saw a dark, dirty sedan backed into driveway on the north side of the residence between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.
