SAN DIEGO -- Ever since the attack, Americans are trying to help in any way they can.
The Firefighters Association in New York is asking for things like toothbrushes, energy bars, bottled water, aspirin and other daily necessities.
The Best to You, a San Diego gift basket company, is gathering supplies for the rescue workers to use over the next few weeks.
According to 10News, a number of local companies have responded, including Keils Market, Vons and Smart & Final.
