Call Anne Heche "Mommy."

The actor gave birth to a baby boy early Saturday morning.

Heche and her husband Coleman Laffoon named their newborn son Homer Heche Laffoon. Heche married her cameraman husband last September after ending a long-time affair with comedian Ellen DeGeneres. She and Laffoon met while working on a documentary about DeGeneres.

She was interviewed last year by Barbara Walters on "20/20." Heche revealed her pregnancy on that show.

During the interview, Heche also said that for most of her life she had a second personality called Celestia -- who was from "the fourth dimension."

Heche told Walters that her split personality was caused by her father sexually abusing her from the time she was a toddler until she was 12. Her father died of AIDS in 1983.

Heche said she was "insane" for the first 31 years of her life. She said she straightened herself out a year ago after she broke up with Ellen DeGeneres and was found wandering in Fresno, Calif.

Heche wrote about her experiences in her book "Call Me Crazy."
