The San Diego region has been a leader in water conservation for years thanks to dedicated efforts by many residents and businesses. However, our current water supply challenges require further water savings. We need your help saving more water now because our supplies are being cut. Recent court-ordered restrictions on water deliveries from Northern California are limiting water supplies and rapidly depleting water storage levels across much of the state. To make matters worse, the court-ordered restrictions are making our state system for managing water more vulnerable to weather changes. This will makes it more difficult to cope with and recover from dry conditions in the years ahead.Everyone can contribute to the San Diego region’s effort to increase conservation by 20 gallons per person per day. Visit www.20gallonchallenge.com to make your pledge, find water saving tips and learn about programs and incentives.
If you are already taking steps to conserve water, the San Diego region's water agencies thank you for your efforts. But remember – the more water you save, the more you benefit our region, our environment, and our water future, so see how far you can go!Water Saving Tips1.
